Books I Want To Read

Hey!
One thing you may not know about me is that I love to read, anything but especially books
normally end up having a wishlist (if you could even call it that) and I thought I would share it with you. I have already bought some of these books but others I haven't got or haven't come out yet.

'The Devil Wears Prada' by Laura Weisberger

I love the movie and I always think that no matter how great the movie is, the book is always ten times better. I look forward to reading it.

'Revenge Wears Prada, The Devil Returns' by Laura Weisberger

This is a sequel to The Devil Wears Prada, I didn't even know there was a book, never mind a sequel!

'The Lovely Bones' by Alice Sebold

I picked up this book as I need a 6th one for a book offer I was getting in a charity shop ( 6 books for €4!) but I read the back and knew straight away this is something I would definitely read. I have no idea what it expect (like a lot of these books) but it's a 'Number 1 Bestseller' so it can't be terrible.

Vampire Diaries The Awakening & The Struggle' (Books 1 & 2) by L.J. Smith

I have only seen 1 episode of the show Vampire Diaries and it seemed alright but since there is a book version, I will read that before I make up my mind on watching the show.

'Where Rainbows End' by Cecelia Ahern

This is the movie 'Love, Rosie' that came out maybe a year or 2 ago. One of my friends suggested me to read it as she enjoyed it so much. I have high hopes for this book as I loved the movie.

'Inferno' (Blood For Blood #2) by Catherine Doyle

Unfortunately this book is not released until January 7th 2016, I know that isn't far away but I read the first book last April so I'm looking forward to the next instalment.

'The Fever Code' (Maze Runner Series) by James Dashner

Unfortunately, this book hasn't got a publish date yet and I think it may be the end of 2016 before the prequel of The Maze Runner will come out but I am really looking forward to it as I have loved all  the series so far (the books...not the movies).

'Selp Helf' by Miranda Sings

I feel as if Miranda Sings is that character that you either love her or hate her. I think she is hilarious! I have no idea what to expect from Selp Helf, will it really self help? I have no idea!

'Me, Earl and the Dying Girl' by Jesse Andrews

I have not seen the movie yet but it looks amazing. I think it'll be interesting but I have no idea what the story is about except its about video making... I think........

What's on you book wishlist?

Don't Compare Your Start To Someone Else's Middle

Hey!
Just before I start off the post, there is just one little thing I would like to tell you, I wrote this post during the Summer and I have always been meaning to put it up but I have always pushed it back for some reason or another. Also I have done very little editing on this is the last few days so this is the original.

I compare myself to other people. There I said it.
I don't even know why I do this but I think even as a child I used to compare myself to others who had better toys or better clothes etc. Now it has come to a stage where I have to stop doing it completely. I have noticed ever since I started secondary school (aged 13) that it just got worse, I would compare myself to others who were smarter, had the most recent technology, prettier, more interesting, nicer clothes, better at things I m bad at or have more success than I have had. I used to get upset even jealous of those people. I knew that I had to stop as this before it ended up being a never ending downwards spiral. So a few months ago I found this quote:

I think this is my favourite!
Don't compare your chapter 1 to someone else's chapter 20

Since then, I have applied this to my life especially when for example I go onto someone's blog and I see that they have won a few awards and get loads of offers to review companies products, my mind goes into auto-pilot comparing my blog to theirs. Then I realise what I am doing and I stop myself. I check how long they have been blogging for 3 or 4 years. Then I remember I have only been blogging for a year and that with 3 or 4 years experience I could be getting awards etc. etc. What I try to do is to make a negative into a positive, flip the board, try to make it a nicer outcome for myself.

I think everyone does this once in a while.

Oriflame Hamper Review

Hey!
As I mentioned in my last TY Thursday, I won a hamper from the company Oriflame. I have never tried any of their products before and I was so glad to get some as I have heard that some things are really good. Out of the hamper I got 11 items and I'm going to review 9 items as the other 2 I haven't tried yet and I don't know will I try them in the next few months.

Feet Up Cool Breeze Foot Cream in Kiwi and Mint

First of all, I know the scent sounds weird but it smells amazing! When I first saw Kiwi and Mint written on it I was like 'ugh'. It has the sweet smell of kiwi mixed with the hint of mint. I really like this foot cream, it makes my feet soft when I use it and I absolutely love the smell!

Discover Parisian Delight Body Scrub

I didn't like this scrub at all, I felt as if it was a body wash that you put on after you use a scrub and there's a few bits of scrub left. Also, this contains polyethylene and I am trying to stay away from that as it is bad for the environment. The only upside to this is the smell which it does smell pretty good if this sent was in a body wash I would definitely get it.

Giordani Gold Bronzing Pearls in Natural Peach

I feel this product could be a blush or a bronzer. So far, I have been using it as a blush and I really like it. It is subtly, no clown cheeks (and wouldn't come up on camera!). I have never had a product with the pearl things used in it.

Giordani Gold Adaptive Foundation

Since I am a ghost, I had no expectations with this adapting to my skin tone and I was right, it adapted to 2 shades darker than my actually skin tone.

I have given this to my mam in the mean time as there is no point in me having it. I can't really say it was either good or bad as I had only been wearing it for 10 minutes when I realised I looked not natural.

Tender Care Vanilla Protecting Balm

You may recognise this from my October Favourites as I had picked one up before I had won the hamper, so now I have 2 (YAY!) I really like this lip balm, it is so moisturising and smells amazing!

Christmas Wish Hand Cream

For something that has Christmassy packaging, I personally think this does not smell like Christmas. The hand cream itself is nice, not too thick, not too thin and feels good on the skin.

Giordani Gold Nourishing Cleansing Milk

I really like this when I'm lazy, need to get my make-up off quick or I don't want to use coconut oil. It is very gentle and I can use it around my eye area without irritation and even removes waterproof mascara which is awesome!

October Favourites 2015

Hey!
Another month has come and gone.... So here is my favourites.

Oriflame Protecting Balm in Tender Care Vanilla

My lips are going through a phase of just being horribly chapped and gross. I find it so moisturising and nice on the lips and I feel it does makes a difference. The gold lining of the packaging has worn off a bit and I have had it for only 2 weeks! I love the smell of vanilla and this reminds me of baking with vanilla essence or extract (when I do actually bake!).

L'Oreal Paris True Match and Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation Mixture

I have been noticing over the past few months that my L'Oreal True Match Foundation is slightly too dark for me, I hate wasting make-up so I decided to mix my all time favourite foundation Rimmel Match Perfection with L'Oreal True Match and I love it. I feel it combines the best in both foundation and it isn't too dark for me any more!

Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Facial Wash

I am a sucker for buying face wash (I know its weird) but I bought this in the Winter of last year and I decided since I was a bit spotty this month I would whip it out and try it again. This has really helped calm down my spots and it is really relaxing. The only thing is the face wash is a black/ grey colour and I sometimes forget to wash apart off and then I'm left with this black plop on my face until someone tells me.

Cardigan

First off, I have no idea where you can get this as I stole it off my mam (insert cheeky smiley face). I love wearing this as it is so comfy and warm for the winter months. I normally wear it with a grey t-shirt as you can see or a shirt.

These are my arm wraps I have to wear to protect your knuckles

Kickboxing

For Gaisce, I have to do a physical activity, I decided to do kickboxing and I am so glad I did as I really enjoy it. I have been doing in for around 2 months and it was hard at first but now it is getting easier.

What are your favourites this month?
See you,
