Life Update #1

Hello Fabulous,
Today I was going to do my March Favourites and then I realised that I had no new favourites from last month! So I thought I would do a life update, just to tell you what I have been doing and what I will be doing.

I had my mock exams in February, they went well because I passed everything (YAY!!) but I still have a lot of work to do :(
I went to see 'The Merchant of Venice' in Cork with my English class, (its my studied drama). I really enjoyed it as it was different to the real version of it.
I had my Speech and Drama play which I enjoyed so much and I forgot how much I love being on stage. I am sad that it is over because I had so much fun acting and being with my grade.
I had my interview for Transition Year (optional year between Junior and Leaving Cert) and I think it went well, I don't know will I get excepted because there are 80 people going for 55 places but fingers crossed I get in.
I am now on my Easter holidays for 2 weeks (finally!) but I know these two weeks are going to fly by between hanging out with my friends, to going to relation's houses, to studying and doing homework, I'm going to be really busy.
After my Easter holidays, I will be met by three things, my Home Ec practical, my music practical and my birthday but my birthday is stuck in between both of them which won't be fun but i will just have to get over it!
Its nearly 11 weeks until my exams which I am not looking forward to at all! But I will just have to grin and bare with it and as once as it is over I will be on Summer Holidays.
I hope you enjoyed my first life update, I will probably do the next one around May.
See you,

My Current Skincare Routine

Hello Fabulous Internet,
Today I thought I would show you my skincare routine. My night and morning skincare routines are nearly the exact same except I am not taking off makeup in the morning! So lets get started.

I use KTC Pure Coconut Oil to remove my makeup. Coconut oil is a solid at room temperature so you have to warm it up which I don't mind. This stuff can get rid of anything including waterproof eye makeup! I like this because it doesn't make my skin feel dry like some chemical cleansers do.
I use porridge oats as a cleanser. I know it sounds weird but my skin feels and looks so much better when I use this. When used as a cleanser, porridge oats are a micro exfoliant and reduces redness in spots also. I normally put some into my hand and put my hand under running water and then gentle rub it into my face and then I rinse it off.

I use 'The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner' to tone my face. I put this in a spray bottle and spray it all over my face. I like this toner because it doesn't aggravate my skin like some other toners.

I use 'Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Blemish stick as one of my spot killers. I use this one on smaller and less angry spots.I put this on both in the morning and at night.

I use 'Boots Essentials Cucumber eye gel as my eye cream. I find it soothes the area around my eyes and makes them look better.
I use 'Garnier Moisture Match' for normal to dry skin. I feel like this does a really good job at moisturising my face.
This is my second spot killer. This is Dream Dots. It is a plaster that you put on your spot overnight. While it prevents you from picking at it, it helps to draw out the bacteria from your spot. I use this on bigger more angry spots.

I hope you liked my current skincare routine.
What is your skincare routine?
See you,

'New Years Goals' 3 Month Update

Hello Fabulous Internet,
Today I decided to do an update on how my 'New Years Goals' are doing. I had 5 goals at the start but now I have gone down to 4 because one was becoming not enjoyable.

1.The 15 Book Challenge
I am on my 5th book. So far I have read 'The Kill Order' by James Dashner, the first 3 Percy Jackson books by Rick Riordan and I am currently reading 'The Help' by Kathryn Stockett (which was in my February Favourites). I am pretty happy with the speed I am going through the books!

2.Drink 2 Liters of Water a Day
Before I started this, I realised how little water I drink. So far I am going pretty well, I normally don't get exactly 2 liters but it would be pretty close! I have noticed since I started this that my skin has improved so much, I am getting less spots which I am happy about.

3.Try to Exercise 2-3 Times a Week
This one I think I have done the worst in. I am not one of those people that love exercise and live and breathe doing some sport but I like being active. Most weeks I have been getting exercise twice a week but sometimes it might only be once, so I want to change that for my next update.

4.Being More Creative On My Blog
I feel like I have been putting more effort into my blog posts and not leaving them to last minute which is what I used to do! I have planned to start doing new and different types of blog posts that I haven't done before. I also have added more pictures into posts which i a bonus.

5.Listen to a New Genre of Music Each Month
I decided to stop doing this one because it felt like a chore and I wasn't enjoying it. I started getting bored of listening to different genres and then I started going to my own playlists of my favourites songs instead.

I hope you have a great weekend!
See you,

February Favourites 2015

Hello Fabulous Internet,
Here are my February Favourites:

The Help by Kathryn Stockett
I have been really enjoying this book this month. I had seen the movie version at Christmas and I really wanted to read the book.I am nearly half way and I am enjoying it. The book is written in first person narrative in three characters, which I have never seen before. I think it is worth a read!

Jenna and Julien Podcast
I have been getting into podcasts recently, I found Jenna Marbles podcast which she does with her boyfriend Julien. It is so funny the random conversations they have. My favourite one is when they talk about conspiracy theories.

Rimmel London Stay Blushed Cheek Tint, 004 Sunkissed Cherry
I have been using this blush nearly everyday in February. On my pale skin, it looks really natural and matte. I find it so easy to use as you can use you fingers to apply it.

BADgal Lash Mascara
I got a really tiny sample (0.14oz, 4.0g) of this in January. I have been using this with a few other mascaras to get a nice look. It adds volume and separates lashes, (I hate clumped lashes so much!) I probably wouldn't but a full size version but if I see another sample size I will get it!

Pentatonix
I found this Youtube channel and it is amazing. It is like Pitch Perfect in real life. They are a five part acapella group that do covers and realise their own music. My favourite video from them is Evolution of Music.

FourFiveSeconds by Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney
This has been on repeat for me for the whole month. I think it is a good song because it is so simple but it sounds so good!

What are your favourites this month?
See you,
